Pugs are adorable, funny lilliputian dogs, so it's no surprise that they inspire many people to depict them. But can a pug's beauty ever truly and accurately be captured? Probably not, but we tin certainly endeavour! If a pug is your muse, check out this tutorial on how to draw your pug.

But showtime, nosotros asked Andrea a few questions about dogs, her subjects of choice.

ane. Why practice you lot love drawing dogs?

Dogs are the best models. They never complain and I know they will always exist ok with my work unless I make it with edible newspaper.

I enjoy how different they are, all their personalities and I admire that they don't care most anything other than just being happy.

2. Do you have a favorite dog breed?

I exercise not. My favorite dog is my dog Tobi, and so I might go through phases where I like certain dogs more than others.

3. What makes pugs hard and/or easy to draw?

Pugs are actually easy to describe! They are so emotive – they are like a real life drawing.

Here are pace-by-stride instructions, on how to draw a cartoon pug. And after that, scroll down for a video.

Step 1

Describe iii dots. These volition be your optics and nose.

Step 2

Add together in eyebrows and a olfactory organ wrinkle. Feel gratis to add together in a wrinkle or two on the face!

Step iii

Draw what appears to be a mouth, and connect it to the olfactory organ. This will be the first of your pug's jowls.

Stride 4

Round out the jowls and connect them to your olfactory organ wrinkle. Don't forget to add together whisker dots.

Step 5

Describe ii slanted triangles for ears.

Step 6

Describe iii lines to form the head.

Step 7

Draw a line sloping down on the left side of the pugs face up. At present you're starting the body!

Step 8

Add together 2 legs.

Step 9

Draw a curved line that volition be the pug dorsum and butt.

Step 10

Draw a hind leg. You're almost done!

Step 11

Add in a curly tail.

Voila! Yous've got a pug!

Feel free to add color, or jazz up your pug with personal features.
