Dark Souls 3 Draw Out True Strength

Should I Draw Out True Strength?

I'm on my first playthrough and have been debating wether to do it or not. Is there a catch and, if so, is it permenant?

There is a catch, but it is also required for one of the possible endings. Just go with it and learn for yourself. I did, without knowing what it did, and I certainly didn't regret it.

You might aswell just read/watch the whole effing walkthrough of the game.

If you do so, each time you die, you'll look more hollowed, if you do this 5 times, you will unlock a special ending route. However, if you want to regain your orinigal looks, you'll have to pay a nice sum to an NPC. I hope that was spoiler-free.

Draw strength, die 2 times and then draw again. Draw 5 times total then go to firekeeper with firekeeper soul, tell her you want to heal the darksign. It would be like nothing ever happened. But it will cost the same so if you want to enjoy the lvls now go for it if not then don't because healing the darksign will cost you the same as lvling normally.

Yep, I thought you were getting levels "for free" but that's only if you never heal the darksign.

There's also the matter of the NPC that will appear if you draw out strength 5 times. Might be worth it to do it just to buy everything she has and THEN heal the darksign. Unless you actually want to be hollow, then you'd obviously not heal it.

Thanks for the quick responses guys, I appreciate it!

Yeah, but what does "draw out true strength" mean. How am I supposed to know if I want to do it or not. Since I have no idea what it is?

Just go with it. It's 5 free levels. Besides, you can reverse what it does later if you want.
